Epicrest is available on the App Store for iOS today. Android support is planned for a future release. The free tier stays useful without ads, and Epicrest Pro is an optional App Store subscription for heavier mountain planning.

Photos are not uploaded to the Epicrest backend. They stay on device and can sync through your private iCloud container.
No. Epicrest is an informational tool. Carry proper maps, navigation equipment, emergency gear, and check authoritative local conditions.
